Fear of Writing

I am a science lover. I took all the science classes I could in high school and college. Solving puzzles and learning the mechanisms of an organism have always been the highlight of my education. Therefore it is predictable that my English skills never attained the same level as my knowledge of science. I love to read (I even audited literature classes in college for the joy of reading), but I would rather spend eight hours repeating a boring lab over and over again than write a paper. Yet I realize that writing is the most important tool in communication. Therefore with a semester in between school programs, I aim to improve my writing skills through postings on this blog. The terrifying thought of letting my words form incomplete thoughts for others to read is something I strive to conquer so I may learn how to write well.
